Ok, so I was gonna ask this question last weekend, but I was too busy, so here it goes; My windows Vista Toshiba Laptop was working fine 2 weeks ago, and had pretty much not much of a problem opening simple programs like Audacity & iTunes, but now it doesn't even open them, and many more programs. My windows live one care says it won't work, and to check the help page via internet. It doesn't friggin' help for sh*t, and yes,I will admit I was neglectant towards updating/scanning/fixing my computer via Windows Live OneCare, and it's really upsetting me that my laptop won't open anything. It opens windows live messenger, but when I click sign in, everything freezes. It doesn't do sh*t all, and when I press "CTRL+ALT+DLT" and open the task bar, I can easily and fastly "X" it off. My internet Explorer won't open, only my Mozilla firefox opens, not even my itunes. I've tried uninstalling everything I could, removing as much files as I could, and I also don't recall downloading anything recently. I'm also curious regarding the internet connection icon,on the very bottom right hand corner. You know how it usually shows a tiny little planet earth to show you're connected to the internet? Yeah, well mine shoes a red "X" but it's still connected to the internet. When I try to open "Connect to a Network" my laptop freezes and sh*t all happens. One more thing that might widen the details of my question; Nothing involving "run as administrator" opens. When I try downloading programs, it won't open the run as administrator thingy. I have no idea what to do, and I have NO CD's from when I got my laptop. I've been doing hardcore Reno's @ my home, and I don'thave the time to go take it into a fixing store. Anyone have any ideas/things I could try to fix my laptop? I really need it to work properly before school starts again. :/... Read More »
